Dr. Shellie Wallace

Shellie Wallace DVM is a 1984 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her Masters of Science at KSU and headed for University of Georgia and completed an residency in Theriogenology (Reproduction). From her residency she moved to Auburn University where she started the Equine Ambulatory section. Besides general large animal practice she handled the equine breeding work in the area. A course developed by her while at AU was a small animal reproduction elective.

Upon leaving Auburn she headed to Kansas City Mo into a mixed animal practice. She then established a large animal practice where she worked primarily on equine, but also saw cattle sheep, goat, camillids and pigs. In 2004 she left practice and moved to Texas. She worked in several practices before starting Paws and Claws Veterinary Clinic in Sanger, TX.

In 2017 she started A&E Pet Haven. A boarding facility in Sanger, Tx to answer the needs of the area.

Her interests outside of practice are her Grandkids and riding cutting horses.

Jalie Hodges is a recent graduate of Sanger High School and has been working at Paws and Claws over the last year. Outside of working at Paws and Claws, Jalie loves spending time with her family and pets outdoors and volunteering at an assisted equine therapy center.

Nicole Wright

Nicole Wright is a 1995 graduate from Edgewater High School in Orlando Florida. Nicole did not hesitate to jump right in and start learning her lifelong profession, as she started working with animals at the age of 16. Although she has worked in many different clinics, Nicole has been part of Paws and Claws with Dr. Wallace since it opened in March of 2009. In her free time, Nicole likes to relax, hangout with her cats, watch old movies with her daughter Brianna and take her dog Leanda to the beach.
